Circle Time This is a time where all children in the classroom are encouraged to gather together and talk about the “topic of the day.” This looks different for each age group, and for each classroom, but it builds a sense of community, engages the children, builds vocabulary, and allows the children to participate at the level they are comfortable. Meals and Snacks We wholeheartedly believe in serving children delicious and healthy food so that their bodies are fueled with the nutrients needed to learn and grow! We serve breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack daily, and follow all guidelines for serving healthy meals through the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Gross Motor Play We have access to two different outdoor play areas with different surfaces (a hard top area, and a mulched area with a playground). As long as temperatures and weather aren’t extreme, we go outside every day! In the event of inclement weather or extreme heatcold (let’s face it – we live in NNY so many times it’s the extreme cold), we have an indoor gross motor room so children can still run, jump, and play and work on those gross motor skills!
