The Joyful Child Montessori Preschool

The Joyful Child is a Montessori preschool program dedicated to meeting the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of potty-trained 2 to 6-year-old children by allowing each child to move freely in the classroom, learning by watching another, doing it for themselves, and then teaching another; while discovering the value of relationships and why it's important to take care of them. ​At The Joyful Child, we take care to respect the work of the child and his need for sensory exploration, teach the value of good character, and provide the materials and atmosphere necessary to meet each child where they are at. Our students discover that JOY comes from a job well done, from solving conflict peacefully, from the many "a-ha" moments that come from hands-on learning (vs. worksheets and pixels), from noticing nature; from being able to care for oneself. Learning what it means to be a “good steward” of all that we have, including or relationships, our body, and our environment, is an important component of our program.
