Little background, my commute is very far. I told this daycare that listen I will not be able to pick them up within 10hours. They said don’t worry we will work with you. They lure you in if you don’t have the ELRC program yet by promising that once ELRC makes payment that you will be repaid but then when it comes time for a refund they hit you with hidden fees. My children were there for three days in full and every day I asked to speak to someone in English. I even recruited the children’s father to ask them because they don’t answer their phone. And when they do answer the manager that speaks English is not in yet. I tried to communicate with someone for three days in English finally a teacher pulled a child from a classroom to translate English and Spanish. I got fed up and withdrew my children for two days finding a new daycare that I can communicate to someone in. I came to pick up my children’s stuff on Friday and the owner who barely speaks English yet again used another child to translate and made excuses as to why she didn’t have an English speaking teacher. She said she had a student that was Indian and they spoke Indian English and Spanish now and the parents are so happy. Well that’s fabulous for them and I’m all for bilingual and trilingual but if my kids are not even learning English at daycare how are they supposed to go to prek? How am I supposed to communicate with a teacher about daily occurrence. How am I supposed to communicate if there is an emergency and my children are hurt and need medical attention. She ended the conversation by saying that she will hire an English speaking teacher in two weeks. I told her listen ELRC is paying you for the week. I only attended 3 days out of 5. You got paid in full by ELRC for all 5 days. You didn’t provide the service of and English speaking facility and you’re charging $60 a minute x 2 children. That’s $120 an hour. You moved me to your other location after Monday because you said that you would only charge for one child for late fee because it’s the same family and the other daycare already has children that are being picked up late so that’s why you wouldn’t charge me for the two children. $120/hr. I don’t even get paid $30 an hour. You lured me in stating you can consistently watch the children over 10 hours and would work on the price and then charge hidden fees. Well this is why you keep losing business to Andrew’s daycare and you don’t have enough children at your other daycare. The real red flag should’ve been how many complaints this daycare has while in business
