Do not use jeri Rodriguez in Orem as a daycare!!! The daycare initially told me she could accommodate my late work hours 3-4 days a week (which is a regular basis). We discussed the schedule multiple times over the course of about two weeks before I scheduled a tour. She also offered a free trial day to make sure it was a good fit. The trial day went well, so I brought my child back for two additional days. Just so everyone is aware and doesn't wonder about contracts. I was supposed to complete the enrollment paperwork on the second day, but I accidentally missed a signature on the back. She told me it was fine and that I could sign it the next time I came. I signed the remaining portion of the contract when I picked up my child on the third day after the first 2 official days concluded. After that, I did not hear from her for about a week despite attempting to reach out. The morning I needed childcare for work, I called her, and she informed me that she would no longer be able to watch my child because my pickup time was "too late," even though those hours had been discussed and agreed upon multiple times beforehand and she had a 2 week notice clause in her contract stating she has to give 2 week notice to cut off childcare. I asked about the contract, since it stated that two weeks' notice was required for termination and asked about the payment. She told me not to worry about it, that she would not charge me for the days she attended and that the contract basically wasn't applicable because she could no longer provide care...even tho she breached the contract herself by dropping me. I was mad that she broke her own contract but casually ended the phone call with a "thanks for telling me I guess?" Later, I received a letter demanding payment for the three days my child attended. I responded that I did not believe payment was owed because she told me payment WAS NOT owed, and since the contract had been signed after those days of care I figured it would be null anyway. She then responded informing me that she intends to take me to court because she says "I looked back and realized she was there for more than the 2 days I said wouldn't be charged" which still isn't even true because the first day was a trial day(free). She also lets her grandkids do whatever they want...even driving motorbikes into the street in front of my car without adult supervision outside and around the neighborhood even tho he's like 7 years old....these safety issues also concerned me and I was probably already going to put in my 2 week notice due to the negligence. Also has her other grandkids down to the diaper with no clothes on (granted they're young this is a lisenced daycare) in common areas as their outfit for the day and she also didn't provide my child spare pants to go over her diaper I provide for night time accidents after a pee accident during the day that got her pants wet. None of this seems appropriate for a lisenced daycare. This also messed with my ability to get last minute childcare and I lost out on wages because of her breaching her 2 week notice contract and my ability to apply online for my new daycare so it's gonna take longer for me to be approved and make me spend more out of pocket for the new one. All in all she's now trying to sue me for 3 full days of daycare VIA letter even after texting me confirming that she did infact say that she wouldn't charge me for the rendered days. I'm sharing my experience simply so other parents are aware and can make their own informed decisions. This is not intended as a personal attack, only a factual account of what occurred from my perspective.
