About Laura Bernhardt

Thank you for your interest in our child care. We would love to meet you and see if our child care can meet your needs. Please feel free to let me know if you would like to set up an appointment to visit one evening. My husband John and I care together for the children, ages newborn - kindergarten. We have a Virginia state child care license, CPR, first aid and medication administration certifications. We are open M-F / 7:30 am - 5:15 pm. We charge $350 per week for full time care. You are welcome to have your child attend as much or as little as you need during those hours. We don’t have a separate part time rate. We have owned our child care for over 29 years. I have a bachelors degree & masters degree in social work. John has many years of experience in public relations, prior to his excellent experience in child care. Also, we have 2 adult daughters and 3 grandchildren.   We offer many activities, structured and free play, throughout the day. We like to provide stimulation and great opportunities for socialization. We have a monthly theme based curriculum (calendar attached). Also, John works individually with each child on learning colors, shapes, numbers, letters, math, writing & reading. We also sing, dance, play games, read stories, have circle time, work with puzzles and many more exciting and stimulating activities.
