About Laura & John Bernhardt
We, Laura and John, are a unique wife / husband team, caring together for the children, ages newborn - kindergarten. We have owned our child care for over 29 years. Laura holds bachelor and master degrees in Social Work. We are the parents of 2 adult children. Our understanding of child development is noteworthy. Laura has a Virginia state child care license, and we both have CPR, first aid and medication administration certifications. We are open M-F / 7:30 am - 5:15 pm. We charge $350 per week for full time care. We welcome part time attendance but we don’t have a separate part time rate. We offer many activities, structured and free play, throughout the day. We provide stimulation and great opportunities for socialization. We have a monthly theme based curriculum. We provide additional individualized attention for each child to facilitate learning colors, shapes, numbers, letters, math, writing & reading, We also sing, dance, play games, read stories, have circle time, work with puzzles and many more exciting and stimulating activities.
